The idea behind Playcharms was
born in the mind of designer Fionna Roditi. While wandering the rooms of
London’s famous V&A museum, she came across an unusual ring designed by
Wendy Renshaw in 1975. Inspired by the White Queen from Alice in Wonderland, it
was marvelous in its intricacy and complexity. It was unlike anything she had
seen before. But above all, it was fun.
That ring set her mind in motion.
What if the power to create and influence the design of a piece of jewellery
could be placed into the hands of the wearer herself? She could let her
character and spirit shine through to match the dress, the mood, the occasion.
Her jewellery could be as unique, as vibrant and as full of life as its owner.
